Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) for the Manufacturing Industry

Discrete manufacturers produce make physical products that are sold directly to consumers or businesses such as home appliances, tools, equipment, and vehicles.   Some discrete manufacturers also make parts and assemblies that are used by other manufacturers. All manufacturers are faced with common business challenges such as cost, quality, time-to-market, regulatory compliance, and the need to coordinate a global workforce.

Product lifecycle management (PLM) is used to manage the entire lifecycle of products from their initial concept through design engineering, production, to service and disposal. PLM provides the product information platform, which integrates all the people, data, processes and systems across the manufacturer’s extended enterprise.

Zweave supports manufacturers with PLM and ERP education, requirements definition, IT project justification, and integration of PLM with their other information systems including ERP.
