Zweave’s Success Story: Gap, Inc.
The Gap is a global company with fiscal 2003 revenues of $15.9 billion, four major brands and a global design and sourcing footprint. They selected PLM as a strategic supply chain initiative to deliver high ROI to design and sourcing teams across all brands. The global supply chain partners, including overseas offices, buying agents and suppliers, would participate in the gathering of requirements to facilitate the development of a web-based PLM solution to serve a community of thousands. The project is multi-phase, multi-year with a global governance team in place to provide leadership to the business community. Zweave was a sub-contractor to Cap Gemini to develop the PLM requirements for Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy, divisions of GAP, Inc. The Sogetti – Zweave team was selected for this project by the GAP over leading Systems Integrators including IBM and Accenture, due in part to Zweave’s unique apparel product development and PLM expertise.
